Mirrorman is a living sculpture by the artist Gustav Troger(b.1961)
Since 1998 he was producing mirror-sculptures from great variety (figurative and abstract forms).
In 2008 the first generation of the mirror-suit was made, based on the felt-suit of the german artist Joseph Beuys.
Since then he has been appearing and animating (animated void) public places as this living sculpture.
The sites are chosen by historical and art-historical references or invitations.
Since 2010 (second generation) he is also using a camera as a recording device as a reference to the author of "the man with the movie camera", Dziga Vertov.
The "click" sound the suit produces is a reminder towards John Cage. © 2008 gustavtroger/ all rights reserved
